I made this Candy jar at the awesome place @helgatepottery. Last summer I went to @museum_of_witchcraft_and_magic and I was really fascinated by a specific voodoo doll (1260). The male clay doll was made by a woman who needed revenge because a restaurant owner caused her daughter’s pregnancy. My daughters find it so creepy that I think the candy is safe there.

A quick look into my studio. Because we no longer live in the countryside, but in the middle of the city of Norwich, I had to give up some space. But there is a place for two here, so I can still give goldsmith workshops for two people. I made the curtain from white cotton and linen that I colored with onion skins, wine, avocado skins, blackberries and tea. Not everyone in the house was happy with the concoctions that were constantly on the fire. 🔥

My second vase with botanical drawings is finished

My second vase with botanical drawings is finished. Medieval monks across Europe grew plants with narcotic and hallucinogenic effects. You can see this in the way the plants were illustrated. Because I have so many different vases, I change them a lot depending on my mood. This dark green vase fits in with the autumn atmosphere in our dark green living room. Because this cabinet is next to our dollhouse, it is often a colorful company of toys and accessories.

My beloved never wore jewellery but said for a lon

My beloved never wore jewellery but said for a long time that he wanted a gold signet ring. For his birthday in August I made this ring. I carved the base ring out of wax, casted it in gold and of course as finishing touch a dendrite stone in it. I think they also fit well with a more robust design.

This small vase is inspired by the beautiful medieval illustration of herb and plants. The illustration in medieval herbs are mystic and shows a lot of knowledge about the plants they portray. These original illustrations were created primarily for identification in nature and are portrayed with human or animal representations and full of signs and symbols.

Although I’m more of a ‘forest’ kind of pers

Although I’m more of a ‘forest’ kind of person, we went to lots of different beaches this summer. How incredibly beautiful are the beaches in Devon and Cornwall. But we had the most fun on the beach in Margate where we found beautiful shells and underwater creations. The shells the children found are now at the bottom of our guppies aquarium. And I came home with new inspiration and made this tulip vase.
